Do you love old barns? Here’s one that typifies farms in the Ozarks. Round bales of hay, vines devouring the walls and roof edges.

This barn may not last very long but I’ve preserved it in print for decades, just for you!

Britain Mill made it through the Civil War without a burning. It provided meal and flour to feed Union troops at the time. In 1857, the Likins family purchased the mill, and in 1892 they doubled its size. Before becoming Britain Mill, the mill had two more owners. John Britain purchased it in 1912.
