Wild Sweet William

$65.00 – $115.00A colony of Wild Sweet William is a true find. It’s common to find them scattered here and there in woodlands and roadsides, but large groups are more unusual. I found these in an area protected by the Nature Conservancy at Springfield (MO) Conservation Nature Center. At the city’s southeast edge, the Center spreads over an 80-acre tract bordering Lake Springfield. You can find ducks, otters, deer, foxes, and other wildlife, as well as native plants, trees and aquatic plants.

$65.00 – $115.00Jack-in-the-Pulpit is said to look like a Sunday-morning preacher ready to deliver his sermon to any passer-by.
These plants are often hard to spot because of their subdued colors. Their small stature and desire for shady, damp areas allow them to blend in with the May Apples and other understory growth. I discovered this little guy while hiking in Arkansas’s Prairie Creek State Park. It was hiding from the sun under the shelter of a bluff.

Foggy Morning Barn sits in a pasture above Finley Creek or Finley River, as the locals call it. The warm water in the Finley meets the cool autumn air creating a foggy valley. The perfect backdrop for this basic shed barn.

Triple Falls
0 out of 5$115.00 – $370.00Triple Falls
$115.00 – $370.00Twin Falls is one of the prettiest falls in Arkansas. However, the road you must travel to get there is rough, rocky and muddy during the rainy seasons. The hike is short and easy. Although it’s not handicap accessible, I hiked it with a broken foot in a boot and had no problems.
